SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships, which are based on merit and academic accomplishments, are a great way to help pay for post-secondary education. Although most scholarships are targeted towards high school seniors going into post-secondary, there are many opportunities for other high school and university students as well.

Bank of Canada Scholarship

These Awards are designed to assist students with disabilities, Indigenous students and those who identify as a person of colour or as a member of a visible minority group or racialized group in furthering their education and to encourage them to take an interest in fields related to the work of the Bank—such as: Economics, Finance, Administration and Operations, Information Technology and Cyber, Security, Human resources, Accounting. These $4,000 CAD scholarships are awarded to deserving students to help remove barriers to education and support greater diversity in our workforce. Deadline of scholarship: August 1, 2020 at 23:59.

Hydro One Women in Engineering

A scholarship for women that are pursuing engineering.

MPower Financing Women in STEM Scholarship

MPower is a Social enterprise that already offers loans that increase access to higher education for female students.

Opterus Helen Rose STEM Award

Opterus is providing 2 scholarship awards for young women, between the ages of 16-28 and enrolled/will enrol at a Canadian post-secondary institution, who are pursuing a STEM or Arts educational path.

STEAM Horizon Awards

Scholarship for student leaders, innovators, and high achievers.

Ted Rogers Scholarship

Ted Rogers hopes to inspire youth to reach their potential in a variety of disciplines such as arts, science, engineering to trades.

Papa Konga Foundation Scholarship

A scholarship program that offers (3) broad scholarship categories: one for first nations youth, one for African Americans, and another for youth from developing countries.

Women in Manufacturing (CME)

Women in manufacturing program has several initiatives to promote manufacturing with an end-goal to increase the number of women in this field by 100,000 in 5 years.

Arctic Physical Therapy Scholarship

They are a physical therapy and pain management practice dedicated to offering the highest standard of rehabilitative services for the community. They offer a $500 to any student going into high school or university.

Schulich Leader Scholarship

Schulich Leader Scholarships are Canada’s most coveted undergraduate STEM scholarships. One hundred are awarded to entrepreneurial-minded high school graduates enrolling in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math program at 20 partner universities across Canada. Fifty are valued at $100,000 for engineering scholarships and fifty are valued at $80,000* for science and math scholarships. Every high school in Canada can nominate one graduating student each year to apply for the scholarship.
